OPINION LALA SHEVKET: "MUSAVAT PARTY CHAIRMAN DEMONSTRATES ENMITY TOWARDS ME"

"Chairman of the Musavat Party Isa Qambar clearly demonstrates enmity towards me. In such a situation if there is no wide coalition of the opposition, then it is impossible for the Liberal Party to have any close relations with the Musavat. Where there is hatred, there can be no cooperation" - said the Leader of Azerbaijan Liberal Party Lala Shevket to APA Information Agency: "In the beginning of the year I have proposed a wide coalition of all the opposition forces, running in the forthcoming Parliamentary election with a single list of candidates. Such a configuration could be the only possible way to secure success. After that everyone became witness to the campaign against me and the Liberal Party instigated by the Musavat. Well, an alliance means cooperation. With animosity an alliance is not possible, for one cannot travel a common road with an enemy. As for the Musavat`s statement that they will only unite with the Popular Front Party, I have never been against that, and will never be an obstacle for them. I said to Ali Karimli that if there is a chance they can achieve something together with Musavat let them unite. I urge them to unite if the union of these two parties can achieve anything.
